Abstract

The incorporation of a scientific method into Buddhism and Ethics Education for literature analysis is currently insufficient. This method is crucial for educators in Buddhist Education and Budi Pekerti to grasp effectively. Consequently, an investigation into the Scientific Approach within the context of Learning Buddhist Education and Budi Pekerti will be conducted. This study adopts a qualitative approach, specifically focusing on literature analysis. Research in literature analysis relies on theoretical frameworks to support its discussions. Thus, the theoretical underpinnings in literature analysis must be thorough to ensure that the research outcomes are also comprehensive. The duration of this research will span from January to March 2025. The plan for validating the research data includes credibility assessments, reliability evaluations, and conformity checks. Findings from the study indicate that the scientific approach offers numerous benefits that significantly enhance student development regarding knowledge, attitudes, and skills in Buddhist Religious Education and Budi Pekerti. This approach represents a conceptual framework (on a philosophical level) aimed at achieving objectives that anyone can apply. Any educator in Buddhist Religious Education and Budi Pekerti can utilize the scientific approach to fulfill their teaching targets. Additionally, learning activities conducted through the Scientific Method involve the processes of observing, questioning, experimenting, reasoning, and communicating.
