This study aims to find out that the application of an inquiry approach can improve learning outcomes in Buddhist religious education and morals in fifth grade students at SD Maitreyawira Dumai. This research was conducted at SD Maitreyawira Dumai, City of Dumai. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (PTK) and was carried out for two cycles, while the activities of each cycle were action planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. This research used 31 respondents. Before applying the Inquiry Approach, student learning outcomes reached 45%. After the application of Inquiry Approach in the first cycle the level of completeness of students reached 64% and in cycle II the completeness of students reached 100%. With the level of completeness achieved by students, it shows that the Application of the Inquiry Approach in improving student learning outcomes in the lessons of Buddhist Religion and Moral Education was successful. It is hoped that teachers can apply the Inquiry Approach to improve student learning outcomes, especially in the lessons of Buddhist Religion and Moral Education.
